Artist of the Month Opening Reception
The Maitland Area Chamber of Commerce has invited Edemuel Mora, Director of Neu America Art Gallery, and renowned artist Marcos Cruz to help make the Chamber of Commerce a new promotional platform for local artists, and a new venue that brings art, culture and entertainment to the local community. The Maitland Chamber of Commerce will open up its’ doors to the public on January 13, 2012 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, with a new exhibition that marks the beginning of a new chapter and a tradition in the history of the local arts. The second Friday of every month residents will have the opportunity to meet the artists, enjoy live music and performances, and most importantly, to experience to art and culture. The events are free. The first exhibition – Nature: timeless source of inspiration – brings the work of local artists who take nature as their main subject. Whether it is a photograph-like reproduction of the world or an abstract rendition, artists will offer the viewer the opportunity to enjoy nature through a different and original point of view. Guest artists include: Gary Gessford, Donna Frank, Maryse Jupillat, Brandi Renee, Alan Cody-Rapport, Juan Rueda and Jaime Parra. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy an array of delicious food and wine provided by our generous sponsors: Costco and PRP Wine International.
