Ralph Art Auction, For Ralph Ameduri, 01-14-12

Ralph Art Auction, For Ralph Ameduri

Saturday January 14, 2012 the Central Florida music and arts community is once again asked to gather and pay tribute to one of its own, Ralph Ameduri, who was taken from us much too soon this past September. This event, the Ralph Art Auction, is an opportunity for many Orlando area visual artists who have wanted to donate towards Ralph Ameduri and his family to showcase and auction off their work to raise money in Ralph’s honor. It is also an opportunity for his former band, The Legendary J.C.’s, and other bands comprised of many local musician friends of Ralph’s to play music for him and in some cases written by him.

After the success of October’s Ralph Fest, Ralph Ameduri’s family had the funds needed to cover all expenses related to his passing. Therefore they have asked that all proceeds from this Art Auction, event go towards increasing the reward for information which leads to the capture of Ralph’s killer, who still remains at large.

The silent art auction and music will begin at 7pm and will run throughout the night with bid sheets pulled between 12:30pm and 1am. Cash and credit cards will be accepted on the spot for purchase of art. Please join us at The Peacock Room on Mills Avenue for what will surely be another magical night of Central Florida art and music for Ralph Ameduri.

  1. An update as some of the information here has changed: If anyone thinks they missed the deadline and wanted to submit, they still can! The show is this Saturday and although we were trying to hang it in it's entirety this past weekend we don't want to turn away any donations so Mendi, the Art Curator at The Peacock Room, says she will try to add new art submissions up to Saturday evening. ALSO: The initial bids for the auction will be done silent auction style to establish a starting bid for a live auction which will happen around 11pm. Thank you for your support Artists Alive Threesixtyfive!
