Today's AA365~Spotlight Artist, "Liz Watkins", 01-31-12

Liz has been an artist all her life. She moved to Central Florida when she was six years old. Since then she has drawn her way through life. She has been in the Graphics Arts for more than 25 years. After 20 years of creating art for everyone but herself, she started painting. Since 1997 she has honed her wicked sense of humor into her art. Her surreal, almost cartoonish style, is sometimes controversial or provocative, but never dull.

She currently is the curator for Little Fish Huge Pond and still stay invovled in the local art scene. Her work can been seen in galleries, restaurants, offices, nightclubs, and discriminating homes all over Central Florida.

Jon is an artist in the Orlando area and a friend of mine. He was kind enough to let me into The Glass Cave to shoot some footage of him working on a peacock feather piece he was doing. You can see some of the various methods he uses to achieve the beautiful works he produces. Consider myself very lucky to call him a friend as well as document how he creates some very unique pieces of art.

André Greppi, aka DRES13 lives and works in Orlando, Florida. Currently an art director at an Orlando advertising agency, André also freelances as a graphic artist and illustrator and is emerging as one of Orlando’s more recognizable street artists. With influences ranging from comic book illustration to graffiti and typographic design, his visual style can range from purely illustrative to a graphic blend of type elements and hand drawn illustrations.
