The Center is the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Community Center of Central Florida--The Center--has been in operation for over 32 years. GLBT individuals, as well as family and friends, in Central Florida have stood up to both institutional and individual injustice and discrimination by volunteering their time, money and talents at The Center. The Center has been an organizing force within the GLBT community serving as a source for information, education, advocacy and support. The Center has worked to foster the personal development and quality of life of the community it serves, as well as to increase understanding and acceptance within the greater Central Florida area.
The Center
Gallery Q is the main meeting room at The Center. Gallery Q houses the only uncensored art gallery in Central Florida. It is one of only twelve such GLBT art galleries around the country. Each month, an artist or artists from QUACK display their art for the entire month, which is also for sale. Each artist represents very diverse sensibilities, but are united in their desire to create work that is both passionate and eloquent.
