"Art: A means of expression" by Sandy Bonus & Park Maitland Art Students Opening Evening: February 10, 2012 Showing: February 10 - March 7 Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5 PM (closed 1-2 PM for lunch) Cost: FREE During the February exhibit, the Park Maitland School students under the leadership of art teacher Sandy Bonus will be displaying their inspirations and creations in the Chamber offices. Ms. Bonus uses her innovative methods to teach her 6th grade students. This group of students are working directly with oil on canvas with perspective, the geometric tool invented in the Renaissance to convey 3-dimensionality on a 2-dimentional surface. The method is usually reserved for much older, more advanced students, but Ms. Bonus leads the students to some amazing results. Come join us and lets enjoy art through the eyes these talented 11 years old students.
