Redefine Pop Up Gallery

In the beginning, Redefine was one of Orlando’s first galleries dedicated 100% to Street, Urban, and Contemporary Art. Redefine Gallery has since departed from Magnolia Ave, and found a new happy home on Orange Ave & Pine Street and has a new partner in Management. Still founded and co-managed by Peter Van Flores, new partner Steve Parker takes an equally big role by becoming not only the co-manager but also the person who will put the new location over the top with his ideas for more diverse and themed showings. Though (in floor space) Redefine is much smaller now, in audience it is about 500% larger. Now part of the famous Orlando CityArts Factory building, the new space is open 5 days a week including the traditional 3rd Thursday Gallery Hop. You can now expect Art, Installations, and Murals by not only top notch local artists but now also by nationally recognized and traveling artists as well. In efforts to inspire viewers and creators on the spot, Redefine also carries a small run of top quality Urban Art Supples such as; Molotow, Ironlak, Molotow, On The Run, and Montana available in a variation of Spray Paint, Markers, & Inks.

Mama's Sauce, Letterpress & Screen Printing

I’m not sure if you grew up in an Italian family like I did. Regardless, I don’t think that’s necessary to understand just what Mama’s Sauce is about.

It goes beyond the direct correlation of hand-mixing inks in bowls and using fine, wholesome ingredients. It’s about taking the time to cook up your project just right. It’s about giving designers a home where they can loosen their belts and give a sigh of relief because they know Mama loves their art as much they do.

Mama’s Sauce was founded by three Italians and named by a happy accident while mixing a chunky red ink in a cobalt blue bowl. While we may not mix our inks in a kitchen anymore, we give our spot color print work the same attention that an Italian Mama gives her Sunday sauce.

Samuel Carthorne Rivers aka Sam Rivers(R.I.P.)

Samuel Carthorne Rivers (September 25, 1923 to December 26, 2011),was an American jazz musician and composer. He performed on soprano and tenor saxophones, bass clarinet, flute, harmonica and piano.
Rivers was born in Enid, Oklahoma. Active in jazz since the early 1950s, he earned wider attention during the mid-1960s spread of free jazz. With a thorough command of music theory, orchestration and composition, Rivers has been an influential and prominent artist in jazz music.

Rivers most recently lived near Orlando, Florida. He was performing regularly with his Orchestra and Trio (with Doug Matthews and Rion Smith). In 1998 he recorded two big-band albums for RCA Victor with the RivBea All-Star Orchestra, Culmination and Inspiration (the title-track is an elaborate reworking of Dizzy Gillespie's "Tanga": Rivers was in Gillespie's band near the end of the trumpeter's life). Other recent albums of note include Portrait, a solo recording for FMP, and Vista, a trio with drummers Adam Rudolph and Harris Eisenstadt for Meta.

In 2006, he released Aurora, a third CD featuring compositions for his Rivbea Orchestra and the first CD featuring members of his working orchestra in Orlando.

Sam Rivers and the RivBea Orchestra were recording several new compositions at Sonic Cauldron Studios in Winter Springs, FL.

Artist, Raymond Klecker

If you haven't checked out the art world of local artist, Raymond Klecker, you are missing out. I have witnessed his sketch-a-day for some time now and I am completely amazed at each new piece. Plus his paintings are just as amazing. I recently caught his show at the "The Milk Bar" and I was glad that I did, seeing his work up close is far different than seeing it online. Take a glimpse into this world.

Why The Gas Mask?
The mask is nothing more then my identity. The idea of it is for me to be myself, for that I would have to filter out all the B.S and other unwanted troubles in life. Think as to what the true purpose of a gas mask was before the war turn into what you know of it today? This also goes along the lines of any musicians/writer and visual artists who wants to be their self, they have to let the art they create be their face and their voice to who they are just to get the world to listen to him or her. In the end its just a mask, just like a brand I stand behind it.

ArtistAlive365 Concept Shirt

So, last night....during a chat with a Geoff Decker, I mentioned.....doing T-shirts. Out of the blue, Geoff said, do it! So, I toyed with shirts online over at Zazzle and wham! It felt right and when I posted them on Facebook, I got all positive reviews. I was stoked....then, I one upped it all...if I run with the shirt idea, every single dime will be turned over to my local charity of choice.
